Recommendation to increase general leave 7 day

As the coronavirus situation has not improved, the National Coalition for Coronavirus Prevention has recommended extending the general leave period by seven more days.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Committee chaired by Health Minister Zahid Malek on Tuesday.
Shah Kamal, a member of the National Committee and senior secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, confirmed this information to UNB.
The Secretary said, “The decision of the meeting has been sent to the Prime Minister in summary form (summary). I don’t know if the holiday will increase or not. Because the Prime Minister has the authority to extend the general leave. ‘
The government declared a public holiday in public and private offices from March 25 to April 1 for the first time to prevent coronavirus infection. In the second phase it was extended till April 14 and in the third phase it was extended till April 25.
Asked if the vacation was being extended earlier, Minister of State for Public Administration Farhad Hossain told UNB on Tuesday, “Of course! It’s not time to open the office yet. It’s time for the coroner’s final. ”
The state minister said that if the extended holiday is announced, it may contain some new guidelines. However, the matter can be stated conclusively after the final decision has been reached.
Meanwhile, the banks are open on a limited basis only during normal holidays. In addition, emergency services, including daily necessities and medicines, are open.
Following the announcement of the third phase of leave, according to the Cabinet’s directive, all officers and employees of the departmental, district and upazila level departments have been asked to be present at the work site until further instructions to assist in dealing with any emergency situation during coronavirus.
